Born in Naples on February 7, 1975, Marco Carola has emerged in the last four years as one of the city's most influential exponents of Techno and electronic music.

Growing up in the Neapolitan sunshine, by the age of 13 he got behind the skins of his first drum kit which he played for several years before ultimately being addicted to buying and playing records. In 1990, when the Italian House scene was enjoying its golden age alongside the madness of Acid House, Carola`s drum kit was rapidly replaced by a two record player set and a mixer whereupon he practised the art of mixing and learned how to dj to House music's new dancefloor rhythm.

Together with like-minded friends, such as Gaetano Parisio, Davide Squillace, Random Noize, and other Neapolitan clubbers and DJs who were eagerly looking for something new in club music, the transition towards Techno for Carola began in 1993. With the golden age of the Italo-House movement coming to an end Techno offered a complete new vision of possibilities. Creating and experimenting with new and exciting sounds. Around this time Marco Carola also started to think about building a studio in order to express his personal vision of Techno music.

His ability to mix music and his emerging studio talent encouraged many artists to record at his studio. Between his many more House oriented releases at this time he even managed to produce a 12" for the highly respected MAW (Masters at Work) imprint. Carola soon found the creative limitations of recording for other people`s labels too restrictive for his own creative output and in 1996 he set about producing material for a new, dynamic sound destined to be released on his very own label.

Design Music became the first Italian label focussing purely on Techno music, bursting out of Naples with his own Man Train 12" as the inaugural release. Quickly garnering support from Techno DJs worldwide, Carola`s sound seemed to immediately slot somewhere between Surgeon`s dynamic syncopation, Lost`s cavernous walls of sound, and Blueprint`s hi-fidelity.

The label now acts as one of the main lifelines for fresh Techno music from Italy and most notably Naples with new up and coming artists like Gaetek and Random Noize releasing under the Design banner. After Design, Carola founded his 1000 imprint in 1998 in order to produce ultra-fresh DJ music which he could test on his ever expanding international gigging schedule. By 1998, his first Australian tour was under way, swiftly followed by tours of North America where his unique 3 deck, mixing style made him one of the most requested Techno DJs at the time. In January 1998 Marco Carola teamed up with Gadgets mastermind and i220 founder Corrado Izzo and established two new labels in the shape of Zenit and Question as part of the ELP (Electronic Label Pool) umbrella for artists and labels.

3 years of development and networking followed. Since early 2001 Marco Carola lives in London (UK) after a two years break in Frankfurt. In October 2001 Marco showed his vision of contemporary electronic music by releasing his second album "Open System" which received rave reviews from music critis around the world. With its mix of different styles - a combination and fusion of slower material, break-oriented electronical beats, melodical lines, experimental arrangements together with organic sounds and pads - he proves that he is one of Techno music`s true prime movers.

aki esta  o meu "protegido" xD considero-o o primeiro no meu top djs.

 Biography:

It could well be said that alongside fellow countrymen Laibach and Umek, Valentino Kanzyani is one of Slovenia’s biggest musical exports. As well as spinning techno and house on three decks across the world to huge crowds and acclaim he has released a barrage of dancefloor anthems for labels such as Primevil, Yoshi Toshi, Intec, Wet Musik, Tronic, Primate, Consumer Recreation and his and Umek’s jointly run Recycled Loops and Earresistible imprints. If anyone can lay claim to putting Slovenia on the techno map then the name Valentino Kanzyani ranks high as one of it’s biggest propagators.

Already a big name DJ within his native Slovenia, in 1995 a club called ‘Ambasada Gavioli’ opened and Valentino Kanzyani became known as the man behind one of Slovenia’s most famous venues. During a three and a half year period he booked and played with literally every DJ from around the globe but as the new millennium approached he left to concentrate on his own DJing and production work. It was after going into the studio with his old friend, Umek that Valentino was to release his first record as Recycled Loops on Primevil in the summer of 1999. Thus, Valentino Kanzyani’s name was soon to be heard in DJ sets all over the world and similarly his DJ gigs went supernova as he joined the jet set elite of globe-trotting record spinners.

Following the success of their initial release Umek and Valentino set up Recycled Loops as a label and have never looked back. Now having released some 12 records the duo also co-run Earresistible for their more house inspired production work whilst Valentino Kanzyani’s single-handed production skills have graced labels as varied as Intec with the ‘House Soul EP’ and Tronic (‘Burros Eslovenos’) to Yoshi Toshi with the massive ‘Flying’ whilst he has most recently remixed Carl Cox’s new single, gaining Essential Selection status from Pete Tong.

Earresistible evolved due to the pair’s shared passion for tribal house and elements of this and Valentino’s techno side can be witnessed on the expertly mixed CDs ‘Rock The Discotheque’ Volumes 1 and 2 (Matrix Musik) and the 40 odd remixes he has carried out on labels such as 23rd Century, Premier Sounds, 20:20, Urbana, Shine, ZYX, Intec, Wet Musik and the list goes on…

Valentino’s DJing has taken him to every corner of the world. His three deck skills are second to none and as a result he’s toured the world steadily for the past few years taking in Brazil, Colombia, Japan, USA, Australia, Singapore and every corner of Europe, whilst on radio he has been heard across the globe’s airwaves culminating an Essential Mix on Radio 1. From 10,000 plus strong crowds at the world’s biggest festivals to intimate club gathering’s Valentino Kanzyani now finds himself in the premier league of trans-global Deejays. With a new DJ mix CD due out on Carl Cox’s Intec in 2005 the next twelve months look set propel him even further into the stratosphere.

The B-East Roller - Len Faki  Inserido Saturday 21 April 2007 22:38

Len faki  é kem apresento brevemente cm uma amostra do k este dj conseguiu inovar no techno.

Len Faki (also known under his long-term pseudonym lamonde) was born and raised in the South of Germany where he started his career as successful producer of electronic music. He took his first steps towards international reputation in the mid-90s with his project Lexicon on the renowned House Label Plastic City before he founded two highly acclaimed Techno labels: Monoid and Feis. With innovative productions and sophisticated concepts he soon attracted artists such as Umek, Samuel L. Session and Oxia (Monoid) or John Selway, The Hacker and Bolz Bolz (Feis), who released numerous 12inches, albums and mix compilations on his labels.
In 2001, he released (under the pseudonym lamonde on Feis) his debut album „Music For Some Place Other Than This“ which gained him features in all important German magazines as well as in de:bug. This highly-respected magazine for „the electronic aspects in life“ portrayed him as one of the pioneering artists to lead Techno on to new directions, praising his style as „amalgamation and destroying of seemingly opposing elements“, which in a thoroughly positive sense is „based on state-of-the-art technology“. His DJ mix compilationpilation „Lamonde At The Wheels of Steel“ (August 2002) showcases his distinctive lamonde style by presenting personal favourites from the Techno legacy next to topical productions at the time.
As Len Faki he has been making his reputation over the last two years. His releases on Superbra (Switzerland), GoodLife (France) and Terminal M (Berlin) can be characterised by a combination of bass line oriented percussion and pounding grooves.
His move to Berlin at the beginning of 2003 marked a decisive turning-point in his music and business career. With Len Series he founded an independent mother label set up as a trademark for innovative and daring Techno sounds – urging to dance, full of untamable energy and strongly aimed at the club. His concept with succeeding filial labels demonstrates his open-mindedness for diverse shades and facets of club and dance culture while also offering the opportunity to playfully explore his musical depths and overall creativity. Right with his first offshoot, Len Series label Figure (offering warm sounds in spite of its tough and cool productions), he stormed the bags, cases and charts of top DJs/producers such as Umek,
Ben Sims, Monika Kruse and Marco Bailey.
As a DJ, Len Faki has made a strong appearance at top venues such as Ostgut (Berlin), Tresor
and U60 (Frankfurt) as well as top events such as „Sonne, Mond & Sterne Festival“ (which translates as „Sun, Moon & Stars festival“), Alive Festival (Belgium). His bone-dry but communicative DJ style mark him as a true gentleman behind the turntables while his DJ sets are based on passion, surprising elements and distinctive individual aesthetics. Len Faki who outside the Techno scene is considered a gourmet in his own quiet way devours club music as basic nutrition and source for his overwhelming energy.

enjoy the music

Vitalic - You prefer cocaine  Inserido Tuesday 17 April 2007 18:44

Era indispensável  falr em Vitalic um dos grandes nomes do estilo electro.

Tive o cuidado de tirar uma biografia do site dele caso queiram saber mais dum rapaz k paxa mt boa musica e k ja tive a sorte de o ver ao vivo!!

With his debut four-song ‘Poney EP’, first released in late 2001, the Frenchman Pascal Arbez aka Vitalic tore through dancefloors across the world.

This year, he has released his long-awaited debut album, ’OK Cowboy’. Pascal describes the album as a mix of “dance music, experimental, organs and French music”.

A selection of musicians Pascal admires: Daft Punk, Sparks, Crash Course In Science, Valerie Dore, Giorgio Moroder, The White Stripes, Belgian composer Wim Mertens, Fad Gadget. He’s not a big record buyer and doesn’t know the names of lots of his favorite tracks. His first love, when he started making music as a teenager, was Belgian new beat.

His initial sporadic releases as Dima came out in 1996 and ’97 on the local Choice label. Within the underground dance scene he became good friends with Michel Amato, aka The Hacker, and befriended Amato’s Goodlife label crew in Grenoble. The Hacker suggested he send his new tracks to DJ Hell in Munich, which he did. Then Hell’s International Deejay Gigolos label released Pascal’s ‘Poney EP’ just as Fischerspooner fever and electroclash madness broke and it became one of their biggest-selling 12-inch, played as a searing peak-time anthem by everyone from Aphex Twin to Richie Hawtin to Erol Alkan to 2ManyDJs to Laurent Garnier to Tiga…

Since the ‘Poney EP’ there have been collaborations: with The Hacker a cover of Detroit techno standard ‘Shari Vari’; with local producer DJ Tonio; and, most notably, with New York singer and songwriter Linda Lamb, as The Silures, whose rousing goth-tinged ‘All You Can Eat EP’ from 2003 was the first time Pascal had worked with a vocalist.

Pascal works a lot with Brigitte as well. She’s a versatile speech synthesis program and will do anything he tells her to. That’s her voice all over ‘OK Cowboy’. Then there’s Dario, the subject of ‘My Friend Dario’, Pascal’s naughty alter ego who drinks when he drives and parties way too much. All the instruments Pascal uses are fake, in the sense that he meticulously generates everything from a synthesizer. The only thing Pascal can’t fake is the emotion that galvanizes his music.

Espero k tenham gostad pois mais grands nomes irão ser referidos

Stay tuned!
